Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 14, 2026

USihs LLC takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website, how we use it, and what choices you have. Since we run a simple site focused on travel writing and route ideas, we keep things minimal. No fancy tracking, no selling data, no complicated ads.

Information We Collect

When you just browse our pages we automatically receive basic stuff from your browser like your IP address, what browser and device you are using, the pages you visit, how long you stay, and roughly where you are connecting from. This is standard server log data, nothing personal tied to your name or email unless you choose to contact us or subscribe to updates.

If you send us an email through the contact form or directly to [email] we collect your email address, the message you write, and any details you include like your name or phone number.

If you subscribe to our "Get Updates" email list through the form on our homepage, we collect the email address you provide for the sole purpose of sending you updates from USihs (new Insider Reports, Confidential Routes, and similar content). We do not ask for or store passwords or payment information, and we do not have user accounts or logins.

Cookies

We use only strictly necessary and basic functional cookies — for example, to keep the site working correctly and, if we add the option later, to remember a language preference. We do not use cookies for analytics, we do not use cookies for marketing or advertising purposes, and we do not use any third-party tracking, retargeting, or ad-network pixels. If this ever changes, we will update this policy and our cookie consent banner before any such cookies are set.

How We Use the Information

The log data helps us see if the site loads properly, spot broken links, figure out which pages people read most, and make sure everything works on different devices. We look at it in aggregate, not hunting for individual users.

When you email us we use your message only to reply and maybe keep a copy in our inbox for follow-up if needed.

When you subscribe through the "Get Updates" form, we use your email address only to send you the updates you signed up for. We send these emails ourselves (or through a mailing-list/email-delivery provider acting on our behalf — see "Sharing and Disclosure" below); we do not use your subscription email for any other purpose, and we do not add anyone to this list without their own action of submitting the form. We do not add you to any other mailing list without asking, and we do not share your email with anyone else beyond what's described in this policy.

Basically everything stays inside our small team. No marketing profiles, no data brokers, no feeding info into big tech systems.

Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your information. Period.

We might share data only in these rare cases: if required by law like a valid court order, to protect our rights if there is some legal claim, or to very trusted service providers who help run the site — such as our hosting company that sees server logs anyway, or an email/newsletter delivery service we may use to send "Get Updates" messages. Those providers are bound to keep things confidential and not use the data for their own purposes.

No third-party trackers, no social media plugins that send your activity back to other platforms.

Your Choices

You can browse anonymously without giving us anything beyond what your browser shares automatically.
If you email us you can ask at any time what we have on file about your message and we will tell you. You can also ask us to delete the email conversation from our records, we will do that unless there is some legal reason to keep it.

If you subscribe to "Get Updates," every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe at any time by emailing us at [email] and asking to be removed. We will confirm removal within a few business days.

Since we do not have user accounts there is no profile to delete or edit beyond your subscription status.

Data Security

We keep things basic but careful. Emails are handled through secure providers, the site uses standard HTTPS encryption, access to any stored messages or subscriber list is limited to the few people who actually run USihs. No fancy databases full of user info because there is none.

Still, no system is perfect. If something goes wrong we will let you know if it affects you.

International Visitors

Our site is hosted in the United States and we operate under US law. If you are visiting from outside the US your information crosses borders when you load the pages, send an email, or subscribe to updates. By using the site you agree to that transfer.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them, including through the "Get Updates" subscription form. If we learn we have data from a child we will delete it right away.

Changes to This Policy

We might update this page from time to time as the site evolves or laws change. We will post the new version here with a new last-updated date. Check back occasionally if privacy stuff matters to you.
